AGM - Are they now teaching predestination?
by Doubting Bro inanother agm thought.
in tight pants tony's part, he mentioned several times that jehovah draws those he chooses and only those rightly disposed would come in.
and individuals that liked the literature but made no progress towards becoming jw were a "waste of time".. was he setting the stage for them introducing the thought of predestination?

If predestination reduces expenses, they're all for it.
Praise Jah!!!
But in reality, I believe this is true:
They talk out of both sides of their mouth on this, as they do with lots of other topics. -sir82

My poor wife (took her octogenarian mother) reports that Loesch is now yammering on about every building, parking lot and outhouse ever dedicated to Jehovah.
I owe her drinks and a nice dinner this afternoon.

Leah Remini and Scientology show
by blownaway ini have been watching leah remini's show about scientology.
as she interviews people i see that i was right many years ago when i said this is a lot like the jws.
they do not go after people quite the same way but they sure are very similar in how they run their org.

This week's episode with Paul Haggis was our (my wife's and my) favorite. Could totally relate to his experience. Just swap in JW Speak for all of the Scientology Speak and you've got the same thing.

Joel Osteen's Church is a Cult too ??
by ShirleyW init's being said all over social media that joel osteen hasn't opened his mega church for refuge during the storm, pictures are showing this area is not flooded.
i made a few comments myself saying that the jws only help their own in time of need but this god fearing man isn't helping anyone.. just what religion is he and his followers, i guess it's one of those non-denomination churches that collect a shitload of bucks to him and wife so he can afford the glamorous life, nothing new of course, i thought he was just a bit different than the others, fooled me..

The leader of a Houston-based megachurch said Tuesday that it would open its doors to victims of Hurricane Harvey, after its initial statements about the storm met with strong criticism online.

Anchovy, onion and olives. . . . although a really well-made plain pie is just the best.

Awesome post. Congrats! I especially liked this:
I have never lived so honestly, living true to myself and my feelings.
I think being honest with oneself is absolutely critical to living a truly happy life.

Jesus goes from age 12-30 without any word of what happened in between, not one word from a friend or neighbor.
There's a song about that. . . .
